How can you help?

In society, we value those professions which require great skill and are important for the maintenance of the social edifice. We spare no expense to construct institutions and schools to make engineers, doctors, accountants, teachers, lawyers and businessmen. These are practical, noble and important pursuits, but they are not what life is for. Without the deeper meaning provided by spiritual teachings and collective spiritual movement, life loses its direction and these other pursuits become hollow and trifling.

The Yoga Monastery, Sweden Training Center, is not just a retreat center, it is the institution dedicated to uplifting humanity. We provide the location for all to learn about and deepen their spiritual life, through collective practice, a respite from worldly life, and knowledgeable teachers. But more importantly, we nurture and develop dedicated spiritual missionaries, who are committed to creating a mystical human society. Such teachers and apostles are the greatest need of the present human society.

We must support the Monastery, because our future literally depends upon it. Your support also communicates to the trainees, the ácáryas and to each other, that the work we are doing is valued. And when we value the work of spiritual teachers, we signify that the Dawn of a new human society will soon shine its light on the horizon.

At present, our income is not as much as our expenses; we are gradually using up our savings to cover the expenses of maintaining the Monastery and provide training to the next generation of spiritual teachers. Expenses include food, taxes for visas, heating, water and electricity for five buildings, property taxes, insurance, transportation, cars, medical expenses, maintenance and construction costs.
